18 Nepali migrants rescued from Malaysia

Kathmandu- A total of 18 Nepali migrants languishing in a camp in Malaysia on charge of various crimes have been rescued and brought back to Nepal, according to Prime Minister's Secretariat. 

As part of the government's priority to provide relief and launch migrant workers rescue operation, the rescue took place yesterday at the direction of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachandra' and at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the Secretariat. 

The rescued migrants had been kept in Bukit Jalil Camp on charges of various crimes including murder. After being informed of the situation of the migrants, PM Dahal had summoned concerned authorities of the government and directed them to rescue them. The government had managed air tickets to Nepal for the rescued migrants. RSS
