The Nepal tour of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been postponed on Friday. The organizers have informed that the tour was postponed following a warning from a political party.
The Bollywood superstar was scheduled to arrive in Nepal on March 9 and performs at Tundikhel, Kathmandu the next day. He was said to be accompanied by Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, Dance Master Prabhu Dewa, Daisy Shah, Kriti Sanon and Punjabi dancer.
Few days earlier, issuing a press statement, the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist had warned to foil the program, stating that the program was intended to promote liquor products. Media reports have said that Salman expressed unwillingness to arrive in Nepal following the warning. However, the detail on when the program will be rescheduled is still unknown.
