Kenya beats Nepal by 5 wickets (D/L method)

Kathmandu- Kenya defeated Nepal by five wickets (D/L method) in the ICC World Cricket League match played at TU cricket ground, Kirtipur on Saturday.

Kenya reached the 94-run target set to win following frequent obstruction in play by the rainfall in 24.1 overs losing only five wickets.

Earlier, Nepal had posted a 113-run target for Kenya in 36 overs losing eight wickets.

Skipper Gyanendra Malla top-scored for Nepal at 27 runs as Dipendra Singh Airee and Shakti Gauchan contributed 19 and 18 runs respectively.

Shem Ngoche sent three Nepali batsmen back to the pavilion.

Nepal will take on Kenya again on Monday.
