Malla plays captain's knock as Nepal thrashes Kenya by 7 wickets

Kathmandu- Skipper Gyanendra Malla played a captain's knock as Nepal defeated Kenya by seven wickets in the second match of the ICC World Cricket League at TU Cricket Ground, Kathmandu on Monday.

Nepal chased down the 156-run target set by Kenya in 30.2 over losing three wickets.

Captain Malla was top scorer for Nepal at 64 runs (not out) hitting eight fours and a winning six. Dipendra Singh Airee made 62 runs off 66 balls hitting eight fours and a six. Elijah Otieno of Kenya sent two Nepali batsmen back to the pavilion.

Earlier, sent to bat first after losing the toss, Kenya made 156 runs on the board losing all wickets in 46.1 overs. While restricting the visiting team, Nepal's Sharad Veswakar took four wickets.

Collins Obuya was top scorer for Kenya. He made 48 runs hitting seven fours.
