NC leaders begin ‘political purification’ campaign

Kathmandu : Nepali Congress leaders have launched ‘political purification’ campaign by polishing shoes of pedestrians. 
The NC leaders initiated the campaign at a programme organised by Krishna Prasad Bhattarai Memorial Foundation on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day at New Baneshwor today. 

Gurung and Binod Bhattarai, among others polished the shoes of pedestrians. 

Saying there is no respect of labour in Nepal, leader Bhandari said that the campaign has been started to follow the Krishna Prasad Bhattarai’s ideology. 

Meanwhile, Nepal Student Union organised a blood donation programme at Bishow Bhasha Campus (Campus of International Languages) on the occasion of martyrs’ Day where 50 people donated blood. 

Inaugurating the programme, NC leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said that the NSU started a good work by organizing blood donation programme in memory of martyrs. 

At a time when there is criticism of government’s decision of providing old age allowance to people above 65 years, he expressed belief that though Rs 33 billion would be spent against Rs 20 billion annually, general people would get relief due to this. RSS
