NPPA organizes its 28th Anniversary Celebration and Nepal Sambat 1140

Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye (NPPA) is organizing its 28th Anniversary Celebration and Nepal Sambat 1140 also known as "BHINTUNA" (Good Wishes) on Saturday, November 9, 2019. BHINTUNA is a unique cultural event of the Newar community in Nepal.


NPPA has invited all the community members of DC, Maryland and Virginia Area to join the event. Community members can get a discount by making an online reservation, NPPA has said.


The event is being organized at Shady Grove Middle School, 8100 Midcounty Highway, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. The event will last from 2 PM to 10 PM.


Delegate Harry Bhandari is the Chief Guest in the event. Bhandari was elected to the Maryland House of Delegate in 2018 and has been Member of House since January 9, 2019. He has been actively involved in passing many important legislations for the State of Maryland.


Similarly, Professor Dr. Naresh Man Bajracharya is the Keynote Speaker in the event. Reverend Bajracharya, Ph.D. is a distinguished Newah Buddhist scholar and practitioner from Kathmandu, Nepal.


Likewise, popular Nepali Singer Narendra "Pyasi", who will be accompanied by musicians Prajit Shrestha, Uttam Shrestha, and Pramod Upadhyaya will perform in Live Music Show. Besides, several local talents will perform dances and songs in the Cultural show as well.
