Indian officials show concerns

Kathmandu: Sagoon (, a social ecommerce startup founded in United States by Nepalis, has augmented its impact in India. The social ecommerce startup, through high-ranking Indian officials, has drawn the attention of the Indian government and concerned Indian bodies on its service expansion and effective use.
During such an interaction, Former National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sanjay Vinayak Joshi expressed his interest over Sagoon, while congratulating the team for bringing an alternative tech platform in South Asian region.

He shared his belief that tech platforms like Sagoon will help to create employment opportunities and strengthen the economy. Joshi, not only assured that he will reach out to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian Minister for Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad to inform about Sagoon, but also committed that he would create an environment for assistance from the Indian government.

Joshi, who was present at the Sagoon's Office in Faridabad as a Chief Guest, was apprised by Sagoon's founder Govinda Giri on its detailed plan.

Sagoon's founder Giri, who is on India trip along with Co-founder Swati Dayal also met Indian Ambassador to Nepal Deep Kumar Upadhyaya among other senior officials.

Giri also met Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and apprised them on Sagoon's future projects.

Sagoon has been working by establishing an office in India. The India office looks after design and development of the social ecommerce startup.
