Kathmandu- Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Nepal soon. Speaking to reporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) upon his arrival from China, the Prime Minister said that he reminded the Chinese President on invitation extended by President Bidya Devi Bhandari, adding that Xi was positive.
"The Chinese President said that he will visit Nepal on a favorable date," said PM Dahal.
On a separate note, PM Dahal said that there are no questions over holding of local polls. The government has declared local polls for May 14.
He mentioned that he got an opportunity at the Boao Forum for Asia annual conference held in Hainan Province of China to clearly put forth the views and concerns of the least developed and landlocked small countries regarding globalization and free trade, as well as their expectations.
"China wants the participation of all political parties of Nepal in the upcoming election and the creation of political stability here, which are the concerns of the Chinese side", he added.
