Nepali Congress (NC) youth leader Gagan Kumar Thapa is contesting in the election of House of Representatives under the first past the post category from Kathmandu Constituency number 4.
He will be battling with Rajan Bhattarai of Leftist Alliance who has a similar popularity like him. The media attention and public attention is sure to focus on Kathmandu Constituency number 4 when two 'competent' leaders fight it out in the election battle with only one winning the race.
Addressing an election assembly organized on Sunday, the leader said that he has come among the public to address the issue of the country, not only the issues of the locality.
"Local issues are our main problems. But, national issues are the bigger problems. Thus, I am moving ahead for the solution of both national and local problems," he said.
On the occasion, the former Minister for Health said that he wants to live being a citizen of a prosperous country rather than being recognized as lawmaker and Prime Minister.
