Chairman of the Constituent Assembly (CA) Subash Chandra Nembang stated that the disputed issues of the constitution would be settled through CA, if the parties failed to reach a common ground within September 6. Speaking in an event, Nembang said that he has directed the concerned stakeholders to submit the draft of the disputed issues in the CA, if the parties failed to forge a consensus over those issues. He also made it clear that the major political parties had no alternative other than promulgate a new constitution within the stipulated time frame.  A Cabinet meeting yesterday morning formed a committee under Energy Secretary Rajendra Kishor Chhetri to finalise the Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India. The troop will be leaving for India today. A meeting of top guns of three major political parties..Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist assembled on Tuesday to settle the disputed issues of the constitution ended without making any headway. It has been learnt that the meeting ended inconclusively after the ruling NC and main oppostion party UCPN-Maoist floated diverge views over the issues of constitution, federalism and forms of governance.
