Nepali team in closed session for ACC Emerging Cup

ACC Emerging Nation Cup 2017 is going to happen in Bangladesh from March 25 to April 4. Total eight countries will participate in this tournament. Among them, four are ICC test-playing countries and rests of the four are ICC associate countries. Those four ICC test playing nations will play their under 23 national players.

For this tournament, Nepal has started its off training. Off training of Nepali cricketers has started in Kirtipur ground since Sunday. Total 19 players including captain Paras Khadka and vice captain Sharad Vesawkar are involved in off training. Last Wednesday, a group of ICC Development Officer Raju Venkapathi, Nepali team trainer Jagat Tamata, captain Paras Khadka and Gyanendra Malla had selected other 4 substitute players including 15 other players.

Nepal will play its first game against Pakistan on 27 March. Similarly, it will play against Bangladesh and Hong Kong on 28 March and 30 March respectively. The four test playing nations are India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan whereas the four associate countries are Nepal, Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Malaysia.
