Triangular bridge to be constructed in Devghat

In the annual program for the fiscal year 2073/74, the government had announced to construct a triangular bridge in the holy place of Devghat. Devghat is the confluence of three rivers and is a famous religious place in Nepal. A team of five persons has reached Devghat for the feasibility study for the construction of the bridge.

In the initial phase, method of construction of bridge, preliminary problems, length of the bridge and others will be discussed. On the basis of the prefeasibility study, a Detailed Project Report will be readied. The consultant will take 6 months to make ready the DPR of the bridge.

The government will open a tender on the basis of DPR after the Tihar festival. The construction is aimed to complete within three years after calling of the tender.

The triangular bridge would be unique in the whole Asia. A group of five people led by Shekhar Pokhrel, Senior Division Engineer have started their work in Devghat.

In the middle of river, pillar as a view tower would be built.
